This is a beautifully written account of a murder. It is genuinely original in its approach and suitably circumspect in its conclusions. - Reviewer Bruce Elder.

Well done…a very involving read. - Garry Maddox, Sydney Morning Herald film writer.
WHAT THE MOTHER KNEW is a worrying, disquieting, disturbing book. But then crime and the reality of what happens in our society these days should be. It should be read - violence is ultimately so pointless, and WHAT THE MOTHER KNEW is one of the starkest reminders of that that I’ve read in quite a while. - Karen, from www.austcrimefiction.org
A timeless page-turner. - Gerard Ryle, Sydney Morning Herald investigative journalist.

My first book has been released at bookstores and online. On January 7, 2006, pregnant mother-of-one Jody Galante was reported missing by her husband Mark. A week later Jody’s body was found in bushland at Bilpin, in the Blue Mountains. She had died of a single gunshot wound to the head. Police investigated the murder and made an arrest in March 2006. The case came to a conclusion in April 2008.I covered this story from when it was a missing person’s inquiry all the way through to the court case and the final guilty plea.
